what if.. I was a sixties girl?

I was born in the 90's. And have lived through most of the 90's and now.. the 21st century. So far, I'm a little disappointed. Not to sound ungrateful or ignorant. But I always think about.. later in life when my kids asked me what the 90's were like, with a glimmer of hope in their eyes.. and I'll answer with something along the lines of " You didn't miss out on much". I don't know if it's just because I was fairly young throughout the 90's or if they truly were dull. I mean, there was The Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys, but that doesn't drop many jaws!

I didn't realize how much I'd actually missed out on until recently. I just got thinking about the 60's. Names like Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, George Harrison, Rod Stewart, Jimmi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder are a few that were popular in that time. The hippie era, it just seems so fun, I know I'm only looking at the positive, because I'm well aware there were huge negatives in that time. But based solely on music, and rock and roll, it sounded like a liberating time! I just love reading about it, and can't imagine the person I'd be if I was dropped into the sixties. I think I would have a good time.

However, I am proud of the person I am today and the 90's and 21st century has treated me extremely well. I just love imagining my life in different times. I wish I could say, "I don't remember the sixties!" What if I was like Patti Boyd and the classic love songs were written about me!

It's fun just to think about it..
who would you be if you were in the sixties???
